It was decided by HEPC that the ILC promotion activities by the Japanese high energy physics community are integrated into the ILC-Japan and the ILC Steering Panel is dissolved at the end of its term.

The JAHEP ILC Steering Panel released a report "Recent Progress Towards the Realization of the ILC in Japan: Cooperative Efforts by Academia, Industry, and Local Region".

The ILC Steering Panel was established by the Japan High Energy Physics Committee (HEPC) of the Japan Association of High Energy Physicists (JAHEP).

The ILC Steering Panel aims to create an atmosphere for collaborative research and information sharing so that the younger generation can take on the challenge of the ILC. We are working to expand the circle of cooperation and discussion not only in the field of high energy physics but also in other fields of science and technology in Japan and abroad. In addition, we are preparing to provide information to the government and members of legislative bodies and to collaborate with industry and regional partners in order to improve understanding beyond the research community.
